Questions from Study Abroad offices

What does the partnership agreement look like? +

We start with a lightweight Letter of Intent — non-binding, no long-term commitment. After a successful pilot cohort, we formalize with a standard partnership agreement. We've kept the paperwork minimal on purpose. You're not signing a 40-page vendor contract.

How do you handle student safety and liability? +

We provide vetted housing arranged before arrival, airport pickup, a 24/7 emergency contact number, weekly student check-ins, and signed learning agreements between students and host companies. Málaga is one of Spain's safest cities and we have boots on the ground there full-time.

What documentation do you provide for credit approval? +

We provide: a signed internship offer letter from the host company, a learning agreement outlining responsibilities and learning objectives, a mid-term progress evaluation, an end-of-term supervisor evaluation, and a completion certificate. We'll match the format your office requires.

Do students need to speak Spanish? +

No. Málaga's tech ecosystem operates largely in English, and we only place students at companies where English is a working language. Spanish classes are included in all programs so students arrive with basics and improve throughout their stay.

Can FAFSA or study abroad grants apply? +

Potentially yes, depending on your institution's policies. Some universities allow FAFSA funds to apply to managed international programs. We recommend checking with your financial aid office. We can provide documentation to support any aid application.

What types of internships are available? +

Tech / engineering, digital marketing, business development, data analytics, design / UX, operations, and hospitality. We place students at companies ranging from 20-person startups to established scale-ups in Málaga's Parque Tecnológico. No generic or non-substantive placements.
